A Summer in Britain My husband Bob and I spent 2007 summer in Great Britain. It was not the first trip we have made to Great Britain, but it was the most memorable one. 2007 marked our anniversary of fifty years of marriage. To help us celebrate, our children came over to Britain to travel with us for two weeks in July. It was their first trip "across the pond," and a great time was had by all. The other twelve weeks of the summer Bob and I wandered the island by ourselves. We visited old and new friends and toured a whole lot of Britain we had never seen before. Our mode of travel is by bus and train all the way, and we stay in bed and breakfasts. We dragged ourselves home in September with battered suitcases and big smiles. It was a very good year. |
![]() Every tourist to England must visit Anne Hathaway's Cottage in Stratford-upon-Avon. So here we are. Son-in-law Craig takes a photo of me and Gordy taking a photo of him, daughters Amy and Lisa, and grandson Josh.
Here's the picture Craig got of son-in-law Gordy and I taking the photo of the group. Just of bit of good old-fashioned tourist fun. Photo credits: black frames: Ruth McIntyre-Williams |
